We have had many calls of late by folks who either have a situation and do not know what to do or people that have used a carpet cleaner or restoration company, they didn’t get the job right, and now need help.

Not all situations are very cut and dry that you need a professional’s help.  I will say anything with blood or body matter or fluid, requires a licensed and trained cleanup company such as Bio-One.  Most people know this, but have questions about other situations.

The new year is approaching very quickly and it is my goal for this year to be one of getting information and aid to those who encounter biohazardous situations.

The majority of calls we get are from people who simply do not know the hazards they face in a situation involving anything from a horrific trauma scene all the way down the feces. This group of people is easier to work with and tends to put themselves in less harm, due to the fact that they are open to instruction.

The more harmful group, to themselves anyway, are the folks that have a misguided confidence that they know exactly the hazards they face in any situation involving blood, body fluid, fecal matter, MRSA, or similar circumstances.

Our knowledge on these diseases is continually changing and improving and most are not up to date on all risks involved with body fluid or blood. That is the reason Bio-One is in business.
